A Letter From the CEO

February 2004

Dear Norfox Users,
We at IndySoft would like to welcome you to the IndySoft family. As you may or may not know by now, Norfox was acquired by IndySoft in early December of 2003. Since then, we have been hard at work determining an exact plan to give you the best possible support for your existing Norfox products and at the same time provide you with the most powerful, cutting edge calibration management technology found today.
For those of you not familiar with IndySoft, let us provide some background. Since 1993, our development team has been writing software solutions for commercial and industrial calibration labs. In 1997, IndySoft was formed with a primary focus on providing best-in-class calibration management software for large Enterprise customers and commercial calibration laboratories. We have been very successful achieving this goal and today have thousands of extremely satisfied end users. In fact, we currently support nearly 5 times the number of installed users as did Norfox at the time of our purchase. IndySoft is based out of Greenville, SC and we have satellite offices in Georgia and Arizona.  With distributors covering the United States, Canada, and Europe, we will be able to provide your company with excellent support and training opportunities around the globe.
Originally, before reviewing the products from Norfox, we planned on providing support for both the LabMate 3.5™ and Visual Labmate™ product lines (please see our original press release on our web site). However, after an in depth study of both products, we decided to continue support for the LabMate 3.5™ product line and drop support for Visual Labmate™. Our decision was based on several factors -- one being that there are only a handful of users actually using Visual LabMate™ successfully. Most Norfox users continue to use the older LabMate 3.5™ product and we want to concentrate our efforts where they will be most effective. Unfortunately, the Visual Labmate™ architecture uses outdated technology and performs poorly when compared to IndySoft's software requirements -- therefore we simply cannot justify future development on this product.
We realize that many of the original Norfox customers have been deprived of enhancements for a long period of time. IndySoft has plans to change this. We hope you will find IndySoft to be a very different software company with a refreshing take on software development. Our flagship calibration management software, Gage InSite®, is more than able to support your existing calibration management needs and is built on a platform for the future. Besides selling support agreements for LabMate 3.5™, we are also offering very attractive upgrade offers for Gage InSite for a limited time. With these upgrades, IndySoft will convert all your LabMate™ data to Gage InSite free of charge. Please contact the IndySoft sales department for more details on these upgrade opportunities.
To start off 2004, we have new releases of our entire suite of calibration products, including our flagship Gage InSite 2004 product, Trend Analysis and Automated Uncertainty modules. Also, we are releasing VisualCal™ - our new automated calibration procedure software. Please see our website at www.indysoft.com for details.
In closing, we must alert you that there are currently several organizations selling support plans for the LabMate™ and Visual LabMate™ product lines. Please be aware that none of these companies have legal access to any of the Norfox source code and cannot offer any software fixes or license increases. If you find anyone offering this type of support without our approval, we would greatly appreciate it if you would let us know.  As some customers have already purchased support agreements, we would suggest asking for a refund if you were not made aware of these facts upon sale of the support agreement.
Thank you for your time. We are all extremely excited about working with your company in the future. Please don't hesitate to give us a call - we look forward to answering any questions you might have.

Sincerely,
Leon Price
